Wakefield College is predominantly a Further Education institution - something that we think is a distinct advantage to your Higher Education. It means we’re not under pressure to recruit lots of students, so you won’t be lost in a large group.

Neither are we under pressure to decrease the amount of tuition you receive. On a full-time Higher Education course, you’ll study for 16 hours a week in dedicated workshop facilities, with tutor guidance and support for the whole time. Not many universities can say that! Multiply that by our 30 week timetable (per year) and you’ll see how dedicated we are to your education. We have the opportunity to get to know you as a person and to respond to your individual needs.

As if that wasn’t enough - we won’t be charging top-up fees. You’ll only pay around of £1,500 per year of the course - and that’s before deducting any awards you’re entitled to.

All in all, we’re confident that we provide a better Higher Education experience than many universities.
