About us

Wakefield College has provided education and training in the Wakefield District since 1868, and today is home to some 10,000 part-time and 3,000 full-time students.

Wakefield College is today a well-established and successful College of Further and Higher Education that includes an English Language Teaching Centre, a Sixth Form College offering A Levels and University Foundation courses. The College also offers a number of HND courses and Foundation Degrees.

We are a state funded College and have a long tradition of providing top quality education and training to all its learners.

Our students consistently achieve superb exam results, well above National averages. For example the A level pass rates are consistently over 97% and one third of the students regularly achieve the top A and B grades.

Wakefield College is a bona fide publicly funded institution and is listed in the Department & Skills (DfES) Register of Education and Training Providers.
