The best bit about my job is working with the students, the interaction and the atmosphere being around young people.

I find my role both exciting and fun and the support given, enables me to be an effective Manager.

The students are both pleasant and polite and all in all working at the College has been a very positive experience so far.

It is a privilege to be part of Wakefield College because of the high standards and the commitment of staff, which I feel is reflected in the students at the College too.

One of the main reasons I came to the College was that it recently had an inspection with an excellent Ofsted result and good previous Ofsted results.

I think everyone here is committed to quality, but at the same time nobody loses sight of the fact that the College is very much people centred, everybody matters and you're very much a person rather than just a number.

The College is structured in a way that makes you feel part of a team, with excellent training and development opportunities and HR who are really friendly.

After the birth of my first child the College agreed that I could reduce my hours to spend more time with my family, this has given me a greater work life balance and also great flexibility for childcare commitments.

When we look at our student success rates at the end of the year it’s very difficult not to feel extremely proud to work here and I thoroughly recommend working here.

The professional development I have taken allowed me to participate in the College Graduation Ceremony which is excellent.

Wakefield College places so much emphasis on professional development, I have recently joined the Aspiring Managers programme to further progress my career.
