Travel & Tourism students Turkey residential

Travel and Tourism 2nd Year students went on their residential study visit to Belek in Turkey. 18 students from the National Diploma and Certificate groups, along with tutors, Louise Groves and Janet Horsfield jetted off to Belek, Turkey for 7 nights on the 26th February - 4th March.

The group stayed at the fabulous 5* Atlantis Resort on an all inclusive basis. Whilst over there, students learned more about the Turkish culture, by organising visits to see impressive waterfalls, Turkish towns and ruins, and experienced the traditional Turkish Baths and Spa’s as well as visiting local markets/bazaars where we bartered the prices down!

As part of the animation unit, some students organised activities which took place in the hotel facilities, one was a lilo race with pool activities and the second, a quiz night. Some students also worked closely with the hotel Animation Team and the Tour Operator Resort Representative.

Many successful fund raising activities and events took place within the months leading up to the visit which helped us , along with the CIVF fund, to partake in a range of Turkish culture!

The study visit ran smoothly and all students worked cooperatively throughout as a team to make the visit enjoyable.
