College student has legs waxed for charity
Wakefield College student Will Grubb found himself surrounded by Beauty Therapy students armed with hot wax and hair removal strips this week after he bravely volunteered to have his legs waxed for charity.

L to R Students Rebecca Davies, Danielle Lane, Will Grubb, Hannah Clarke and Ashleigh Wright. |
Will, who studies at the College’s Thornes Park Campus on a Public Services course, volunteered after his girlfriend Rebecca Davies – a Beauty Therapy student at the skilslXchange decided she wanted to raise money for the BBC Comic Relief Appeal.
Rebecca said, “I always wanted to do something for charity and never had an opportunity when I was at school. Since coming to Wakefield College I have developed more confidence and I was persistent enough to organise this fund raiser. Will has been very brave and it has all been for a very worthwhile cause. ”
Together with the help of her fellow students Rebecca they have raised more than £100 for Charity.
