Hundreds attend skillsXchange open evening

More than 850 people turned up from to the first ever Open Evening at the skillsXchange last week, making it the busiest open event Wakefield College has ever held. Visitors to the event arrived from all across the region and beyond, including some from York, Barnsley, Doncaster and Goole.

Many of the visitors had watched with interest as the building developed, and had come along to see if the inside was a stunning as the outside, and joined one of the many guided tours which were a popular feature of the evening.

Marketing Manager Carol Brett said “Holding an open event only four days after a building has opened is a huge leap of faith, but it went brilliantly well. Staff were busy all night and the entire place was buzzing.”

Feedback from the event was impressive with many visitors commenting on the excellent new facilities on offer at the iconic new campus. People interested in studying a wide range of courses at the skillsXchange can find out more by contacting the course Information Team on 01924 789111.
