Vocational qualifications are related to specific careers. They are designed to give you the knowledge and/or practical skills you will need for employment in a particular trade, such as Hairdressing, Construction, or Motor Vehicle, or area or work such as IT, the Performing Arts, or Animal Care. You can also progress onto Higher Education courses. Vocational qualifications are available at different levels; your results at school will determine which level of vocational course you can join.

As a student in our Sixth Form College you can choose from around 30 different AS/A level subjects. You can also study for other advanced level vocational qualifications - a National Diploma or a Vocational AS/A level. You can also take additional qualifications, such as GCSEs or AS/A levels whilst studying for a Vocational AS/A level or National Diploma. The entry requirement for all our 6th Form College programmes is a minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade C or equivalent.
