Our School of Popular Music has a rich mix of students and music interests and a strong reputation for developing highly successful, rounded musicians and industry professionals.
Career opportunities in the music industry extend well beyond performance. If you don’t see yourself as a performer, you may aspire to a career as a sound engineer, songwriter, producer, promoter, teacher, manager, backline technician, sound designer or composer.
Whatever your enthusiasm, it’ll be nurtured by working interactively with your fellow students with the guidance of tutors who are dedicated to enabling you to fulfil your potential

Upload Festival
The Upload Music Festival is a yearly celebration of the performance talent of students from the popular music department, the Upload Festival is open to the public and is a ticket only event, traditionally over two days, and has taken place in various venues across Wakefield.
