Press Release Residential Hospitality & Catering

Good luck to our Hospitality students who will by now have settled in to their accommodation in the former copper mining town of Falun in Sweden, soon to be joined by our Care and Early Years students.

Congratulations to the six Children's Care, Learning & Development students that will be travelling to Falun, Sweden in May to spend two weeks working in the Forest school, with our partner, Kristinegymnasiet.

Erasmus Plus! nardo comes to an end and is replaced with Erasmus+ which aims to boost skills and employability as well as modernise education, training, and youth work across Europe. It has a budget of approximately 14.7 billion euros across Europe and will, over the next seven years, provide opportunities for over 4 million Europeans to study, train, gain work experience and volunteer abroad and will also support transnational partnerships between education, training and youth organisations. Our bid for places in 2014 to 2016 has been submitted. Watch this space…

Mark Fulton’s Catering students need to get their written applications in to be shortlisted for a Skype interview with the HR executive of the Hilton Malta.

Sweden x 2! Both the Hospitality & Catering and Childcare will be sending a group of students to Sweden in the late Spring, one to Haraldsbogymnasiet and one to Kristinegymnasiet.

The Grifon vulture sanctuary has moved to the Velebit Nature Park in Croatia and plans are being drawn up to check out the new site and accommodation before the next Animal Care group spend two weeks with Goran and the team.

Well done to our last trainees of the season at Absolute Alpine – requesting to stay on an extra week!
