Wakefield Children’s University will be hosting a free family event at the College’s Castleford Campus on Tuesday 31 May, 10am - 2pm. Visitors can take part in a host of sporting and cultural activities and come face to face with reptiles and birds of prey.

Wakefield Children’s University (CU) co-ordinator, Kayleigh Moore said: “This promises to be an exciting event full of hands-on activities to help develop children’s knowledge and gain Learning Hours on their Passports to Learning. With it being half-term, this will make great family day out.”

The event is open to all children aged between 5 and 14 including non CU members. A number of Learning Destinations will be present including KL Falconry, Mid Yorkshire Golf Club, Think Forensic, Cold Blooded Encounters and Reptile Rescue, West Yorkshire Theatre Dance Centre, National Coal Mining Museum for England, Wakefield Libraries, Nostell Priory and The Hepworth.

Members are asked to bring their Passports to Learning to get stamped. Staff at Wakefield CU are also urging non-members to come along and find out more about Wakefield CU and the range of activities it has to offer.
