Electrical manufacturer OE Electrics has established a partnership with Wakefield College to offer two engineering apprenticeships to local students and is confident this will be the first of many apprenticeship opportunities to be offered through the partnership.

College student secures place at the University of Cambridge

A Wakefield College student who thought getting back to university was a bridge too far having been out of education for a few years, has secured a place at the University of Cambridge. Robert Murphy, 26 passed the Access to Higher Education course with distinction and now can look forward to studying a degree in social sciences at the prestigious institute.

A Level Results Day 2018

A Level students from Wakefield College’s Sixth Form have once again demonstrated hard work and determination after the class of 2018 achieved another strong set of results. Figures revealed last night showed students achieved an overall pass rate of 97% - the 15th year running the result has exceeded 95%. The number of students achieving high A* to C high grades also saw a seven percent increase to 58%.
