Student to represent Great Britain in Special Olympics World Games

Level 1 Childcare and Early Years student, Brooke Lammas, is gearing up to represent Great Britain in Field Hockey at the Special Olympics World Games 2023, in Berlin.
Brooke was selected for the England Hockey squad following a successful trial day at its national training centre in Berkshire.

Zack Hamilton, an Emerging Talent and Careers Officer at Jet 2, recently delivered a talk to students at the College about Aviation Apprenticeships, as well as how their studies will link in with their future careers.

Student reaches final of international culinary competition

A Hospitality and Catering student at Wakefield College has reached the final of the international app-based culinary competition, the CombiGuru Challenge. Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Professional Cookery student Jarret Edwards will travel to Italy for the final on 4th May 2023, where he will prepare a dish from a mystery box of ingredients selected by Unox.
