The Revenger’s Tragedy

Wednesday, 16 June, 2010

The Revengers Tragedy is a tale of dirty tricks and heinous crimes, committed in the name of revenge. Set amongst the smoke and mirrors of Duke’s Circus we are privy to the trail of destruction that Vindice leaves in his wake. His urge to wreak bloody havoc on the Duke and his family was born from the murder of his beloved after she refused the cruel ringmaster’s advances nine years earlier. Years of festering loathing has rendered Vindice incapable of seeking anything other than vengeance, what follows is a rollicking rampage of bloodshed and merry murder. This production comes complete with tightrope walkers, strongmen, lion tamers, a live band and even a bearded lady! So Roll up Roll up and let the fun of the fight commence.

From the cradle to the grave seemingly inconsequential actions make up the chapters of a lifetime. This tongue in cheek, rough and tumble physical theatre piece is brash, bold, bolshy and brazen. The race is on, can the body clock be beaten and the games completed?
