Horticulture at Wakefield College

Public parks, gardens, nurseries, and allotments are popular day visits and hobbies, creating wide-ranging employment opportunities for those who wish to look after the natural world around them. The practical courses develop a range of practical skills and knowledge.

We use a realistic working environment, including greenhouses, growing grounds, orchards, and lawns, to ensure that you gain the skills and qualifications you need to take full advantage of these career opportunities.
