Job & Careers at Wakefield College

I am pleased to announce that following our recent inspection by Ofsted, Wakefield College has been rated as a ‘Good’ college.

Sam Wright
Wakefield College Principal

At Wakefield College we recognise that the dedication of our staff, working both in and out of the classroom, is crucial to ensuring that our learners achieve their full potential.

In order to attract and retain the very best people who will be committed to supporting our values, we provide a working environment in which we can all succeed and flourish.

We respect our staff as individuals and celebrate the rich mix of backgrounds and experiences they bring to the College. We also recognise that our staff need to maintain a healthy work-life balance.

Coming to work is an important part of our lives; it helps to define who we are. If you join us you will have the support of a great team, the satisfaction of contributing to learner achievements, and access to learning and development opportunities which will help you to reach your own career goals too.

Information for Agencies

One of the main reasons I came to the College was that it recently had an inspection with an excellent Ofsted result and good previous Ofsted results.

Sam
Marketing

Wakefield College generates a lot of interest and we receive many calls from Employment Agencies and Recruitment Advertising Agencies, although we do appreciate the interest you have shown in Wakefield College, our Policy, as approved by our Governors, states that we must recruit candidates ourselves wherever possible.

Preferred suppliers
If, on the very rare occasion, we choose to use an Agency/Employment Businesses or Recruitment Advertising Agencies.

We would first go to our current providers or those listed on the Crescent Purchasing Consortium www.cpc.salford.ac.uk. We ask that you respect the relationships which we have built up with our current providers, with whom we would always work with.

Legal Disclaimer
You also need to be aware that our legal team review all terms of business before we enter into any agreements. We must therefore insist that you do not contact any Wakefield College employee directly as they have no authority to enter in to agreement with you. All recruitment queries and communication should be directed to hr.recruit@wakefield.ac.uk.

And finally... We want to have a good working relationship with you – and we understand you want the same and are trying to promote your business. However if we need your help we will contact you, we therefore do not accept cold calls or speculative emails.

Thank you for your understanding.
