The Academy comprises three programme areas: The School of Performing Arts, The School of Media, Art and Design and The School of Sport and Public Services. These programmes are based at our impressive Thornes Park Campus, set within 22 acres of Parkland.
Our portfolio offer includes a variety of programmes ranging from level 1, through to level 4 courses. We currently cater for over 800 full-time students and 300 part-time students. The Academy offers a wide range of full and part time programmes. The full time programmes offered include:
Media, Art and Design
We have specialist facilities in all areas of our work including; dedicated computer suites for video editing, music sequencing, design, multi-media, web design, games design and general computing; ceramics, 3D and print studios; dance studio and numerous performing arts and music rehearsal suites; a professional Arts Centre with a 220 seat theatre. There is a four court sports hall, a traditional gymnasium, a 15m swimming pool, a sports lab with specialised fitness testing equipment, weights room with cardiovascular and resistance machines, two outside netball and tennis courts, two football pitches and one rugby pitch, an outside climbing wall and access to Thornes Park Athletic Stadium. Thornes Park Campus and enjoys the benefits of 300 car parking spaces.
