Wakefield College students create food hampers for those in need

Students from the Care and Early Years department at Wakefield College have produced a range of Christmas food hampers for those living in poverty and hunger across Wakefield. Students produced food parcels and wrapped them up in bright cellophane and wrapping paper as gifts for those who otherwise might go without at Christmas.

A congregation of almost 500 people gathered at Wakefield Cathedral on Saturday 9 November to see students from the University Centre at Wakefield College receive higher level qualifications at the annual Graduation Ceremony.
Students supported The Prince of Wales Hospice Look Good Feel Better event

The Prince of Wales Hospice this week held their first Look Good Feel Better event. Look Good Feel Better (LGFB) is the only international cancer support charity that helps boost the physical well-being of women, men and young adults undergoing treatment. The event was supported by Beauty Therapy and Photography Students from Wakefield College as well as other professionals from the Hospice.
